RANGER OPEN HOUSE
October 14, 2006

This year our Open House was ushered in with exceptionally brisk fallNina weather.  Despite the cool winds, visitors were warmly greeted by the volunteers and horses of the Ranger Foundation.  Each horse seemed to appreciate the extra attention of some belly scratching, mane decorating (See Nina pictured right), and the grooming of their new long winter coats.

As part of this annual event, some brave and chilly members of the Blood Brother's Law Enforcement Motorcycle group ended their benefit ride at the Greenbrier Farm, warming up with some comfort food and greeting their equine friends.  Each year, this die-hard group rallies at the Frederick Harley-Davidson store and head to the farm.   This year, however, the Ranger crew were ready to give the Club president a different "riding experience".

Our newest resident, Sgt. Tom has been doing exceptionally well since his move to Ranger.  Tom, a retired caisson Percheron, was having breathing and sweating difficulties in the warm climate of SC.  However, under the careful care of Ranger volunteers, Tom was feeling his best in the cool weather in order to give the Club President a different kid of "ride".

The Board of Directors, volunteers and horses of the Ranger Foundation, Inc. wholeheartedly appreciate the time and donations of the Blood Brother's Motorcycle Club as well as every visitor of our Open House.  We understand that their are many worthwhile organizations in need of support and we're glad you chose us!

THANK YOU!
