How horse came to Ranger:  retired from the Valley Forge Military Academy, Pa. in the fall of 2001. 

Interesting characteristics or anecdotes:   Admiral was a real cow pony before going to Valley Forge Military Academy in Wayne, PA. At Valley Forge he gave lessons and participated in military parades, but had hock problems that shortened his working life. He is one of those grouchy but loveable types.
