Born Kit N Company in Minnesota in 1989, Kit is an overo/red roan registered Paint Horse. In 1995 he went to live at the Base Stables at Camp Legeune, NC where he spent the next 6 years as the "character" in the barn. He came to us in the fall of 2001 because his working days were shortened by a diagnosis of navicular disease. A bit of a handful because he is the Houdini described by the base stable manager...he can get out of things (halters, fly masks, corrals, whatever) and he has an endearing trick of sticking out his tongue when looking for a treat.
