Name:
Princess Date
of Birth: ~1984
Breed:
A
chestnut mare
How
horse came to Ranger: Princess came to us in the fall of 2002 from Valley Forge Military
Academy in Wayne, PA.
Interesting characteristics
or anecdotes: Medical records from her polo days
reveal several leg injuries and a slight fracture to the frontal
bone of her face. Valley Forge reported that Princess
was admitted to the New Bolton Vet Clinic in 1997 for nasal
bleeding, however a cause was never determined. Valley Forge barn manager noted that when
she arrived at Valley Forge years ago she was a nervous and
"anorexic" horse. Today she is calm and easy to
handle and has gained much weight on pasture grass.
Princess is a beautiful horse who loves attention. She
would benefit from a volunteer taking special interest in her.
Special
care needs: She
suffered a serious injury in a polo match that to this
day keeps her limping, however no special medication or
treatment has been prescribed for her.
Favorite
Ranger Buddies: Princess spends her days with the
girls...Patti
and Nina.
