Experience the joy of horse ownership by sponsoring one of our wonderful Ranger horses! The Board of Directors recently approved a sponsorship plan where individuals, families or businesses could sponsor a horse. We are happy to report that our first sponsored horse is Patti.

Patti is a huge dark bay draft cross who spent an early rough hard life in harness in the Amish country before starting her successful career at Hope Springs Equestrian Center as a therapeutic riding horse. She was especially needed to carry large riders, but when her back could no longer carry any one but a tiny person she came to retire with us at the Ranger Foundation. Now she is loved and sponsored by Mary and Kala.

The sponsorship program works like this: Either someone can sponsor a horse for $100 monthly, or half sponsor for $50. If a business or individual would like to sponsor the horse for a year a one time donation of $1000 will be gladly accepted.

Businesses and distant individual sponsors will receive letter and photos of their horse. Regular volunteers at Ranger who sponsor a horse will have lots of extra opportunities to visit and care for their horse outside of regular Ranger sessions. In that way, sponsors will really get the feel for owning a horse, for having a special horse in their lives, and the horse will benefit from the extra loving attention.

A great benefit to the sponsor is that we are a charitable 501(c)3 organization making any donation to us tax deductible.

Finally, there is one other benefit to this program. If all or nearly all of our Ranger horses were sponsored, the officers, the board and the volunteers would be spared many long hours of planning fundraisers and have more time to devote to the horses themselves.
